Comings soon: Sponsor CloudCoin through GitHub

A new GitHub Sponsors program will allow people to donate to finance opensource development projects like CloudCoin, and can include matching funds from GitHub.
The Consortium will be able to receive contributions to bank accounts in one of 30 different countries, which is significant since it would be the first way the Consortium as an entity would have a pool of fiat funds available. If every CloudCoin Bulletin subscriber and social media follower (over 20,000) contributed just $1 per month, it would generate $240,000 per year.
These resources, coupled with the Consortium's soon-to-be-completed Swiss verein legal structure and upcoming elections, will help professionalize and improve the Consortium's operations, organization and management.

Upgraded CloudCoin Wallet 2.1.27 released

Consortium developers have posted the latest updates to CloudCoin Wallet.
Version 2.1.27 includes several bug fixes, new export backup options and improvements in artwork.
The latest version can be downloaded here .

Consortium election process extended

The election process for selecting three advisory Consortium board members has been extended due to requests from voters for more time to consider and weigh candidates.
The election date is now set for Feb. 8, at which time a voting window of several hours will be open to allow casting votes from multiple time zones throughout the world.
The deadline to register as a voter (and/or potential candidate) is now Feb. 3. Good standing requires completion of a membership application and payment of biennial dues of 1,000 CloudCoins. To receive a membership application, send an email to CloudCoin Membership or apply online .
All Consortium members in good standing are eligible to seek office and/or to vote in the upcoming election. Elected directors will serve for two years.

Do you have what it takes to be a RAIDA Guardian?

RAIDA Guardians operate proxy servers to make RAIDA more reliable and robust, and they can receive 100,000 CloudCoins for participating.
Guardians are a vital part of CloudCoin's global effort to create a perfect monetary system that will increase the freedom and prosperity of everyone, while helping combat authoritarian governments who rely on currency manipulation for their existence.
If you are interested in becoming a Guardian, please sign up here for more information and an invitation to a members-only Telegram group.

Earn CloudCoins & $$$ as a RAIDA Detection Agent

There are still slots remaining for people interested in becoming founding RAIDA Detection Agents.
Operators of these units help make the RAIDA network stronger, faster, and more secure. Operators earn a portion of network traffic revenues, as well as
a bonus paid in CloudCoins. Be advised, however, there are a limited number of special "Founders" opportunities available.
There is also a referral program where you can become a Detection Agent, with zero licensing fees, simply by referring potential operators.
Email for more information about becoming a Detection Agent operator or joining the referral program.

Happy Birthday, Nathaniel Rochester

Jan. 14 was the 100th birthday of computer pioneer Nathaniel Rochester.
Rochester was the chief architect of the IBM701, the world's first scientific computer, and developed the prototype for the IBM702, the company's first commercial computer. He wrote the first symbolic assembly language, which allowed computers to be programed with text rather than numbers or punch cards.
Rochester is also considered one of the fathers of artificial intelligence, having been one of four authors of the proposal that led to the Dartmouth Conference in 1956. Rochester continued to supervise AI projects until IBM shifted away from such research. He passed away in 2001.
