CloudCoin gets Silicon Valley attention
CloudCoin Lead Scientist Sean Worthington appeared on Silicon Valley Insider with host Keith Koo , managing partner of Guardian Insight Group.

Worthington and Koo discussed CloudCoin's many advantages over encryption-based currencies before going in depth about advancements in quantum computing and the threats quantum poses to encryption. They also discussed CloudCoin's privacy and its ability to prevent inflation and other monetary manipulation. They concluded by exploring other applications for patented RAIDA technology.

Check out the full interview here or on the CloudCoin YouTube channel (about 40 minutes).

SkyWallet POS plug-in under development
A plug-in Point-of-Sale (POS) application for CloudCoin Wallet is being developed that will make it possible for merchants, websites or anyone to accept CloudCoin payments with very little cost or effort.

A traditional retail POS system costs $1000 or more to set up, $100 or more in monthly costs, AND charges 1-3 percent of each transaction. Utilizing CloudCoin POS could save an average small business $10,000-$15,000 per year, all while completing transactions faster and safer.

The POS system will work by inputting (or scanning) SkyWallet ATM card data along with the amount of CloudCoin to be sent. The system will send the coins and the vendor will acknowledge. The plug-in under development will make it much easier for vendors to accept SkyWallet payments. The system is designed to work with all current technology, so retailers will not need to purchase any new equipment.

This will be part of the next CloudCoin Wallet release, version 4.0.0, which will be the first version officially out of beta. It will incorporate the ability to create a virtual SkyWallet debit card. Developers expect to release 4.0.0 before the end of the summer.

Could CloudCoin be the 'last digital currency'?
by Sean Worthington , CloudCoin Lead Scientist

We could call CloudCoin the “Last Digital Currency” because it is the first currency to near perfection based on the “Theory of Perfect Money” and nothing more is needed.

What is perfection? Perfection is a coin that can trade 24/7 in any part of the world with no fees. A coin that uses nearly zero electricity and bandwidth. A coin that is 100 percent private because it requires no usernames, logins, passwords or public ledgers. A coin that can be recovered if lost and for which theft can be mitigated. A coin with a fixed amount so that there is never any inflation. A coin that is file-based and separates data from logic so that it can be hidden in jpeg files or imported into software and video games. A coin that is patented and will not have thousands of copy-coins. A coin with a wallet that allows sending coins using easy to remember DNS names. A coin that is quantum-safe and will survive the extinction of cryptocurrencies that could occur in just a few years.

Digital currencies built on blockchains come with a host of challenges, making it difficult to do simple things like buy a cup of coffee. Transactions take too long, fees are too high and it is still too difficult to scale.

We developed CloudCoin to overcome these challenges and pave the way for mass adoption. CloudCoin enables millions of users globally to buy, sell and exchange with superior privacy and zero fees.

The security of CloudCoin is due to shredding, not encryption. A fixed amount of CloudCoins means zero inflation. CloudCoins also feature quantum security and require no consensus mechanism.

Over 150 million CloudCoins were traded in the month of June alone. That number of transactions on a blockchain would have cost millions in electricity and server power. CloudCoin instead offers a fast, secure and green alternative, eliminating massive server rooms and costly energy consumption.

CloudCoin will be the last digital currency needed and will result in a more globally sound, efficient monetary system primed for the future of the digital economy.

This is an abbreviated version. Read the full article here .

You can support CloudCoin on GitHub
CloudCoin founder Sean Worthington invited readers to support the work done by Consortium programmers and developers on GitHub. The number of sponsors has reached nearly 30 people.

As Sean previously shared, sponsorship plays an integral role in allowing the Consortium to grow and develop. Following is a list of some of the Consortium's current goals: to complete the task of becoming chartered as a Swiss verein (non-profit association), to be listed on more exchanges, and to continue to raise awareness about CloudCoin and RAIDA.

Sean became the first sponsor by pledging $100 per month at GitHub.

GitHub is the world's largest suite of tools for open source developers, and becoming part of their sponsorship program is an important step forward.

RAIDA Detection Agent program to be enhanced
There are big changes coming for the RAIDA Detection Agent program.

Operators of a new "Enhanced Detection Agent" option will not only make the RAIDA network stronger, faster, and more secure, they can also act as cloud storage servers to facilitate programs such as RAIDA DATA and RAIDA MAIL that are being implemented. The enhanced agents will have different hardware and programming.

Applications for new Detection Agents are currently on hold as the enhanced storage option is tested and fine-tuned, but to be added to the wait list, you can email here and be among the first to receive information once the new option is implemented.

Detection Agent operators earn a portion of network traffic revenues, as well as a bonus paid in CloudCoins. The storage server operators will have additional incentives. Be advised, however, there are a limited number of special "Founders" opportunities available and there are now several clients ready to create traffic on the DA network.

There is also a referral program where you can become a Detection Agent, with zero licensing fees, simply by referring potential operators.

Educate & enrich with CloudCoin 'Learn & Earn'
Anyone can earn CloudCoins while learning about this next-generation digital currency and the underlying RAIDA technology.

CloudCoins are being awarded to everyone who installs CloudCoin Wallet and tells their friends about it. There are also periodic games and other fun activities for which participants can earn CloudCoins.

Feliz cumpleaños , El Liberador
Yesterday was observed as Bolívar Day throughout much of Latin America in honor of Simón Bolívar.

Bolívar (born June 24, 1783) was a Venezuelan soldier who led rebellions against Spain resulting in independence for what are now the nations of Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Venezuela, and Bolivia (which is named in his honor) between 1807-1830.

Bolívar also emancipated enslaved persons decades before slaves were free in the rest of Spain's empire.

The currencies of Bolivia and Venezuela each bear his name (the boliviano and the bolívar, respectively), and numerous towns, plazas and other places are named for him. Statues of Bolívar can be found in cities throughout the world, from Washington, DC to Paris to New Delhi. Even an asteroid between Mars and Jupiter is named for him.

He died from tuberculosis at age 47 in 1830.

Like Bolívar, CloudCoin seeks to liberate millions from the tyranny by bypassing controlled and manipulated state currencies.

CloudCoin Weekly Bulletin 141

Major buzz about CloudCoin
CloudCoin was featured on several prominent digital currency news sites this week, including CoinTelegraph and CoinJournal .

Those mentions spun into scores of re-posts, videos, blogs and translations into many different languages, including Arabic Portuguese Chinese and Russian .

There's even a snippet about CloudCoin being quantum-safe on a website for quantum computing professionals (although they missed a "not" in the headline).

The buzz being generated about CloudCoin is due to aggressive work by the Transform Group to promote greater awareness about CloudCoin.

Other mentions include Europe World News, Crypto Newspoint , and CryptoX.

New wallets will have health check feature
The next version of CloudCoin Sky Wallet software will have a "health check" feature.

No, it won't tell you whether you've been exposed to COVID-19, but it will automatically check that all coins in the bank folder are authentic. It will also re-pown (password own) them and re-start the five year time limit to pown.

Look for the Health Check version to be available for download soon.

Happy Birthday Mark Crispin
If you received CloudCoin Weekly Bulletin by email, it is likely thanks to Mark Crispin , who would have turned 63 on Sunday.

Crispin created the Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) in 1986, as an improvement over the older Post Office Protocol (POP). IMAP allows retrieval of stored messages with multiple devices rather than having the data stored on one device.

Crispin was later one of the creators of the Unix email program Pine , which this editor remembers using in the early 1990's during college. He spent most of his career is academia, first at Stanford and later at the University of Washington.

Crispin passed in 2012 at age 55.
